[Hitomi is teaching Van how to dowse by searching for Merle.]

[Merle gasps and jumps up into sight]
Merle:

Allen Schezar:

I didn't help you for a reward, I , uh, just, well, I thought you were going to die and I was scared, really scared! The *least* you could do is say "thank you."
