Bob says we got plenty of foam but not water. We need every truck full! Marg: What about survivors? Gary Brown: I don't think so, Marg. Al Haynes: We must have taken out all the hydraulics lines at once, is that possible? Bill Records: Well, they all come together back there. Al Haynes: Get on the yoke with me, will you? I don't know if it's doing any good or not, but it's all we got. You need to handle the number three throttles too. I can't handle them both. Dudley, what does the manual say? Dudley Dvorak: See page I- United Airlines Maintenance: 232, systems maintenance. Understand you have normal power on number one and number three engine? Al Haynes: Maintenance, 232, affirmative. We need help on loss of all, repeat, all hydraulic systems. What have you got, Dudley? Dudley Dvorak: [frantically] Main bus, main backup, the hell! It doesn't say anything about all three out! • : Sir, we have a problem. We have no hydraulic fluid, which means we have no elevator control, almost none. We have a little aileron control. We're trying to steer with throttles only. I have serious doubts about reaching destination. Do you know someplace nearby where we might be able to land? If I don't take control of this airplane soon, I'll have to put her down wherever she happens to be. Minneapolis Center: 232, Roger. Standby one. [pause] United Airlines Maintenance: 232, systems maintenance. You might try flight manual, page I- Dudley Dvorak: I'm on I-63! Minneapolis Center: 232 Heavy, Minneapolis Center. Do you wish to declare an emergency? Al Haynes: Yes, Sir! That is affirmative. We'd appreciate all the help we can get. Dennis Fitch: Tell you what. We'll all have a beer when we get this sucker down. Al Haynes: I don't drink, but I'll sure as hell have one on that! [picking up the telephone] Mack Zubinski: Sioux City Tower? Say again? 232 Heavy? Confirm me heavy. Understand, a DC-10 squawking Roger, standing by. [to Porter] Mack Zubinski: Minneapolis Center. Get set for an emergency hand-off. Chris Porter: DC-10? Mack Zubinski: Yeah. Tail engine blown out, no hydraulics. Only control he's got is right and left throttle. Little bastard's circling high and we're looking for a place to land. Chris Porter: You wanna take approach control? Mack Zubinski: No, you'll do fine. I'm right behind you. [after checking the tail of the aircraft] Records: Hell Number 2 must've blown up there's a chunk this big torn out of the right side stabilizer. Chris Porter: United 232, the airport's currently at your one o'clock position, ten miles. Sir, if you can't make it to the airport, there's a Interstate that runs North to south, to the East side of the airport. That's a four-lane interstate. Al Haynes: Roger, Sioux, we're just passing it now. We're going to try for the airport. Al Haynes: United 232 Heavy, Roger, and advise when you do get runway 31 in sight. Al Haynes: Where's... Bill Records: I got the runway! Al Haynes: I don't. Dennis Fitch: There! Back on number one, back on one. Bill Records: Okay, I see it! Let's try to keep the descent at 500 feet per minute. Al Haynes: I see the tower! We have the airport in sight. We'll be with you very shortly, thanks a lot for your help. Chris Porter: United 232 Heavy, Roger, Sir. Wind 010 at You are cleared to land on any runway. Al Haynes: [chuckles] You want to be particular in making a runway? [staff at the control tower laugh nervously] Chris Porter: He's gonna make it! I repeat, Sioux Gateway is now on Alert Three. It's a DC-10, 35 miles North. May not be able to make the runway. Roll all units, this is not a drill! I repeat: this is not a drill! Al Haynes: [over the P.A] Okay, folks. Brace! Brace! Brace! Chris Porter: 232, looking good, Sir! Here's a little update: we're currently cruising at 37,000 feet, just passing over the town of Alta, Iowa, estimating arrival in Chicago right on time. Weather along our flight route will be perfect. We hope you're enjoying your lunch. [flight attendant knocks on the door] Al Haynes: Come in! [flight attendant enters, brings the food trays] Flight Attendant: We're still high on Aloha food. Who wants the Ahi tuna? Bill Records: Mahalo! [an explosion rocks the aircraft, and a deafening, high-pitched engine noise starts] Al Haynes: What the hell? Bill Records: Low pressure going on two! • : Number two throttle's stuck there. Al Haynes: Okay, emergency shut down. Engine start lever and fire handle to cut-off. [Records pulls down a red lever, and it visibly reduces noise and vibration] Bill Records: Okay, that's good. Al Haynes: The elevator's sluggish. Dudley Dvorak: We're losing hydraulic pressure. Al Haynes: We need back-up hydraulics! Dudley Dvorak: Roger. [flips a switch, all lights indicate "Pressure Low"] Dudley Dvorak: [frantically] Backup's two and three losing pressure too, Skipper! [first lines, narration] Al Haynes: The approach to Sioux Gateway Airport, under normal circumstances, is a pilot's delight. You cross the Missouri River, pass the tip of South Dakota. Nebraska's on your right. On your left, the farmlands of Iowa. As you get closer to the airport, in the fields between the runways, they grow soybeans and corn. It's in one of these cornfields that our story begins... Reporter: How did it feel to save that boy? Fireman: God saved that boy, I just CARRIED him. 复制 复制成功 复制失败,请手动复制
