Ed Bannon:

Colonel Weybright:
These Apaches were here for peace. Do you see any paint on their faces?
Ed Bannon:
They don't have to have paint on their faces, but they can't fight without paint. They got to have it on them somewhere.
Ed Bannon:
Pick another way back to the post anyway, Colonel
Colonel Weybright:
We're at peace.
Ed Bannon:
It's a good way to stay alive while you're at peace.
Sandy MacKinnon:
Captain, you're a smart man. You have lots of brains. You're really intelligent. You're just kind of stupid.
[questioning Captain North's strategy]
Ed Bannon:
You're as blind as the Colonel, if that's possible... and it's possible.
Ed Bannon:
Apaches don't like horses, Sergeant. They ride 'em until they drop, kill 'em and eat 'em and then steal some more.
Ed Bannon:
Chattez, you were always the wise one. There is a new thinking in the beat of your drums... a new dance. I want to be told what they mean.
Chief Chattez:
So that we may more easily killed?
Johnny Gunther:

Johnny Gunther:

Ed Bannon:
There's just one way an Apache can put an end to that relationship. He kills ya!
Sandy:
I think they're swinging too wide for a circle, Ed. Maybe they're not using a pattern at all.
Ed Bannon:
Apaches always use a pattern for their campaigns. I've seen 'em fight in a circle covering hundreds of miles or in an X as big as the whole territory. Even a zigzag pattern. We got to be sure which one they're using now.
Toriano:
In my thoughts there have been visions. The Great One put us here on earth first. He is displeased with those who have come second. To please Him, we must rid the earth of the second-comers. Ed Bannon:
That's why he went back East to school... so he could make it fit.
Ed Bannon:
The Apaches have a saying - think what you want to think. You have to live with your thoughts.
Captain Bill North:
Give me your attention. This command is going after Toriano. Now, on my responsibility, we'll take our orders from Mr. Bannon.
Ed Bannon:
I'll make it short. There's only one way to beat the Apache - fight the way he fights... hit and run until he can't run anymore.
