In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories. Brian Cassidy: Have you ever thought about having kids? John Munch: Why? I have you. Capt. Donald Cragen: You don't get to pick the vic. Det. Brian Cassidy: I don't get S&M. Elliot Stabler: [putting his right arm around Cassidy and turning his left arm so one tattoo shows] You guys have finally figured me out, huh? Det. Monique Jefferies: Seriously, did you get off on the tiny little pinpricks of pain? Det. Elliot Stabler: No, I get that from workin' with you. Det. John Munch: Why won't you take this kidney? Doctor Amy Solway: My life, my decision. Det. John Munch: Yeah, well, it's the wrong decision. Doctor Amy Solway: Leave me alone! Det. John Munch: Why, so you can die alone in this dump? Doctor Amy Solway: Get out. Det. John Munch: Great way to catch that train, isn't it? Doctor Amy Solway: I don't want to hurt anymore. Det. John Munch: Then let them do the transplant. Doctor Amy Solway: No. Det. John Munch: It'll take away your pain. Doctor Amy Solway: So I can go to prison? Det. John Munch: So you can live.

My father was suffering, I couldn't help him. You feel guilty because of what you did to Christina. Doctor Amy Solway: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Det. John Munch: I know. I don't want you to die. Help me help you. Please. Olivia Benson: Look, pregnant women are fighters. If Annika resisted she could be lying somewhere injured or unconscious. Olivia Benson: This place is secluded enough for a rape. Olivia Benson: Your sister and the baby are gonna die if we can't find her. Olivia Benson: Elliot, look who's here. Rose Granville: Good morning detectives. Olivia Benson: What can we do for you? Rose Granville: I would like to speak to the reporters. Elliot Stabler: What? Rose Granville: Granville Developers is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to Annika's safe return home. Olivia Benson: That's very generous of you considering that Annika's baby is the child of your future son-in-law. Rose Granville: My daughter loves him. That matters more to me than one indescretion.
