      1999年重新发行时由菲利普·格拉斯重新配乐。这部经典恐怖片当年同时套拍了一个西班牙语版本，跟英语版用相同的剧本和布景，但演员和服装则不同，一般认为西班牙语版视觉效果更佳。1936年推出续集《吸血鬼的女儿》（Draculas Daughter）。1973年的重拍片由杰克·帕朗斯主演。大导演科波拉1992年拍摄的《惊情四百年》将此题材表现得美不胜收。其他还有十多部根据该人物改编的形形色色影片，从搞笑到科幻无奇不有。     影史第一部有声吸血鬼电影！在众多的以吸血鬼为题材的影片中，没有一部能超越其始祖《吸血鬼》的。该片造就了此类片子中最着名的吸血鬼德古拉。他的扮演者贝拉.路高西的表演也实在可圈可点。从他那邪恶的眼光到他那光溜溜的大背头，路高西的吸血鬼形象已经深入人心。传说路高西本人非常沉迷于这个角色以至于接受媒体采访时都躺在那个臭名昭着的棺材里，并且他在1956年去世后更是和那件达丘拉招牌似的大斗篷埋在了一起。该片能跻身于经典影片之列，路高西功不可没。
