Lord Rayden: Didn't have a clue. Sonya Blade: A handful of people on a leaky boat are gonna save the world? Lord Rayden: Exactly! Johnny Cage: You know, you gotta admire her. When she sets her mind on something... Liu Kang: It's not her mind you're admiring. Johnny Cage: It's true. Johnny Cage: I'm in a hostile environment. I'm totally unprepared. And I'm surrounded by a bunch of guys who probably want to kick my ass. I feel like I'm back in high school. Liu Kang: Flawless victory! Liu Kang: You can look into my soul, but you don't own it. Lord Rayden: Goro can be killed. Shang Tsung's power can be destroyed by mortal men and women. You can overcome any obstacle, no matter how bizarre their powers may seem. Johnny Cage: We got a guy with things comin' out of his hands, we got another guy who freezes stuff, and then there's a man, who as far as I can tell, is made out of electricity. I mean, how did he disappear like that? What is goin' on here? WHO IS THIS GUY? Sonya Blade: Let's just think this through. There IS a rational explanation for all this. Liu Kang: He's Rayden, god of lightning and protector of the realm of Earth. Johnny Cage: Oh yeah. THERE'S your rational explanation! Lord Rayden: The essence of Mortal Kombat is not about death, but life. Mortal men and women protecting your own world... Johnny Cage: This is not good... but I'm fine... I can handle this... So this is Outworld, huh? Well, I can see why they want a change of scenery! [Johnny has challenged Goro] Lord Rayden: What have you done? Johnny Cage: I made a choice. This is OUR tournament, remember? Mortal Kombat. WE fight it! [Johnny leaves, Rayden smiles] Lord Rayden: Good. At last one of them has understood. Shang Tsung: We are here to fight in Mortal Kombat. Tomorrow the great Kombat begins, and now a taste of things to come. Shang Tsung: Your soul is mine... [pause] Shang Tsung: Fatality. Princess Kitana: To win your next match, use the element which brings life. Liu Kang: Shang Tsung killed my brother! Shang Tsung: You're mine! Kano: Give it up, baby. I've studied all your moves. Sonya Blade: Yeah? STUDY THIS! [hits him] Lord Rayden: You're a coward, Sorcerer! Stand and fight! Shang Tsung: We are not alone. Goro: Time to die. Johnny Cage: Those were $500 Sunglasses asshole! Cage: [Takes first look inside the weird temple] Gee, I wonder what the bathroom looks like. Liu Kang: All those souls and you still don't have one of your own. I pity you sorcerer. Shang Tsung: [Enraged] Save your pity for THE WEAK! Shang Tsung: IT HAS BEGUN! Goro: I saw this Lui Kang in the hall, I will crush him in one blow.
