      本片是根据斯蒂芬·金的同名小说改编而成，由知名导演约翰·卡朋特执导，讲述高中怪男孩阿尼买下了一辆产于1958年普利茅斯的叫做“克里斯汀”的红色敞篷车，并疯狂的喜欢上了它，由此开始逐步的疏远他的朋友以及现实社会。影片中丹尼斯在询问雷之前从图书馆书架上取下的书正是由斯蒂芬·金写的《克里斯汀》。在特殊发行的DVD版本中包含了20个被删除、压缩或改动的段落。例如阿尼和丹尼斯驾车去学校途中阿尼朗诵了一首污秽的打油诗、阿尼被莱波顿一伙欺侮、阿尼去医院探视丹尼斯等。由于本片主要是讲述高中生在人际关系方面的问题，因而这些可有可无或是过于阴暗的段落而被删改也就不足为奇了。
