Don Michael Paul attended California State University, Fullerton where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts. He juggled his time acting on stage while working in film and television.

Don's work has taken him around the world from Berlin to Budapest to Bulgaria to South Africa, Vancouver and beyond. He cut his teeth in the world of action when he scribbled his freshman script, "Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man," on a legal pad. It sold. It got cast. Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson. And it got made! The die was set. DMP left his legal pad behind and learned to type when Alan Ladd, Jr. contracted him to a four-picture deal at MGM. The deal yielded more rough-and-tumble fare, including "Public Enemies" and the adaptation of the award-winning depression era novel by Davis Grubb, "Night Of The Hunter." After his tenure at MGM, DMP went on to adapt bestselling author John Gilstrap's "Nathan's Run" at Warner Bros. for Joel Silver. He's since written for Barry Josephson, Jordan Kerner, Stephen J. Cannell, Aaron Spelling, Bob Greenblatt, David Janollari, Peter Nelson, Patti Jackson, Lisa Gooding, Mike Elliot and many more. On the small screen, DMP has penned TV pilots for ABC, CBS, FOX and UPN. He's directed twelve movies and is proud to have just finished "Tremors: Bloodlines" and "Death Race" for Universal 1440.
